Is GriefShare for people with a specific type of loss?
GriefShare is for adults who are grieving the death of a human loved one. It doesn’t matter how recent the loss is or how long ago it occurred—if someone you love has died, you are welcome.
GriefShare supports those who have experienced the loss of a:
-
Spouse
-
Parent
-
Child (infant, young child, teen, adult, or unborn child)
-
Sibling
-
Friend
-
Coworker
-
Other relative
GriefShare is designed specifically for grief following the death of a person. It is not intended for:
-
The loss of a pet
-
Anticipatory grief (when a loved one has not yet passed away)
-
Children or teens (the program is for adults)
In addition to the 13-week group, GriefShare offers specialized books such as Loss of a Spouse and Living Without Mom, which provide focused support for those specific losses.
